About

The writer

DSC05122 (1)_edited.jpg

Known as Louise Dautheribes McKerl

She is a half French half Scottish visual artist and writer.

At a young age film school was the aim, but her empty purse and her refusal to follow the path of conformed superior academic studies, led her to sculpt her own style and refine her self-taught dyslexic skills. She wrote and directed several short films, some of which received awards. From screenplay to short story, she continued to write and created several absurd short illustrated stories.

After a while she went to Edinburgh, where she got a job as a blog writer for a +45 dating site during which she discovered a lot, and has never been the same since.

She then moved to Glasgow to work as a product photographer for an online whisky company. During that time, she wrote a short story entitled Bedtime Story, illustrated by Jonathan Hood. The job slowly became stale, so she flew to Beijing to travel back, over the course of six months, along the Silk Road.

Now back in rural France, she has a lovely baby boy for whom she wrote her latest book, A helping hand.
